Overflow _ giclée print
The original painting was commissioned by a young husband to surprise his bride.
It was inspired by her love of sunflowers as well their season in life. Within 3 years, this dynamic couple dated, got married, had 2 children, changed careers and moved out of state. Wow. Good, good things... though the words 'overwhelmed' and 'depleted' come to mind.
But I paint what I pray for.
In her book called, Given, Tina Boesch writes, "Blessings are prayers with the horizon in view."
She adds that "...being blessed means living sustained by God's presence".
So, with the horizon in view, I began to pray that this couple would be blessed, sustained and filled to overflowing in the midst of these multiple, significant transitions.
This is also my prayer for you.
