This is so beautiful. I don't know much about painting and this question may seem strange, but is this an oil painting, watercolor, acrylic? A friend is an artist also and is now trying to help me learn how to paint watercolors. You, however, have captured the inner beauty of this God creation! Congratulations!
I have so much to learn for sure! Don't know if you remember me, I am Christy Jackson's aunt and have written to you before.

This painting is in oil, but your question makes me think it would be fun to try the same flower in watercolor!
